Here's what you do if you're one of the unfortunate folks to have their vehicle window(s) broken by accident or misdeed: Point your car to 1258 West Grand Street. You do not need an appointment , but consider calling ahead to make sure they have the exact glass for your car available in stock. If you plan on paying with insurance, do yourself a favor and get your insurance company on the phone while you are en route. Tell them that you are at Safelite Solutions shop number 57002 and get a referral number. Yes, they're called Auto Glass Now!, but they're in the Safelite network. Pull your car in, walk into the office, and give the staff the Safelite referral number your insurance company gave you. In my case they had one of the windows for my car's make and model in stock, even though it is tinted, and they got started on the work immediately. (They had to special order the second window from a dealer which took a little more time so I came back a two days later so they could finish.) Go across the street and get a snack from one of the burrito trucks. In less than an hour they will have the broken glass cleaned out of your car and your new window installed. Pay them your deductible, and drive away.

It was a great experience. I didn't have an appointment and they told me it would take 2 hours to replace my front windshield and a side window. In 1 hour and 20 mins they called to say they were done and just wanted to make me happy. It's the type of service I expect but never get.
